HELP ME MAKE MY NEXT FILM:
ZONTAR: THE THING FROM VENUS

Zontar: The Thing From Venus will become my second feature film, with your help. And you might even make some money on the deal!

The original Zontar is an awful, unintentionally hilarious 1966 monster movie that is in the public domain, and I hope to do with it what I did with my first film, Atom Age Vampire: to animate a new movie to its soundtrack, including hilarious onscreen commentary on the action.

Here's a very rough clip of what I hope to do with Zontar:

Here's how you can help make this film happen:

Film financier Max Keiser has launched a nifty new web site, Pirate My Film. Here, people can fund a variety of worthy film projects, including Zontar and some very cool documentaries.

At the site, you can buy a 1/1000 share of the film for just $5. In return, you'll get a DVD of the movie, plus 1/1000 of the revenue the film makes on the site, through purchases, ads, etc. You can buy up to ten shares, which would give you a 1% stake in the movie. Honestly, just getting the DVD for only five bucks is reason enough to do it. The chance to see some profit from your small investment is bonus.

Once the site has raised the full $5000 I hope to raise towards creating this very funny film, they'll write me a check and I'll get to work. The sooner we reach 100% funding, the sooner I can get started and the sooner you'll have a completed movie to watch on DVD (and hopefully, some revenue).

I hope you'll consider funding Zontar: The Thing From Venus for as little as $5 today by CLICKING HERE.

80% of the $5000 is going toward updating software and hardware. My copy of Flash (which I use for the animating) is from 2002, and I don't have working copies of Illustrator or Final Cut. Plus, I'll need more external hard drive space to deal with this amount of video. The other 20% goes toward living expenses while I animate the film.

Animation Magazine called me a "rising star of animation." Get in on the ground floor of my new movie today.

Thank you,

Scott Bateman
